Just back from a surprise weekend way in Venice. I knew we were going away but I just didn’t know where which was a strange be lovely experience. But it turns out it wasn’t just the two of us that made the trip.
I was feeling odd before we flew out but nausea and difficulty sleeping became worse over the long weekend. On the way home from the airport, we stopped and bought a pregnancy test so that there would be no chance of anyone I knew seeing me buy it.
Peeing on a stick was an interesting experience, and me being me had to go and buy one of those fancy digital ones. Of course, I didn’t think it through as that meant I wouldn’t be able to keep it until the dawn of time, ask Sascha he would tell you this was a good thing as I keep enough things as it is.
How I kept a straight face when I came down the stairs I will never know, the positive was so strong I didn’t have to wait anywhere near the time the instructions said I would. After showing Sascha the test he gave me a gorgeous smile, in fact, it was one I don’t think I will ever forget.
As much as I had strong suspicions of the result before I took this test, it still doesn’t prepare you for how you will actually feel when you see that result.
We are having a little baby.
