Doctor visit required, after a positive pregnancy test result.

Taken the test, what now? Off to see the doctor.

I went to the doctor on Wednesday as I thought that was what you did when you found out you were pregnant, WRONG! I have since found out that you do not have a lot to do with doctors anymore. Unless there is God forbid a problem.

He told me that I have to make an appointment with the Midwife in about four weeks time. So I felt a bit like I was wasting his time really,  but he did advise me not to tell anyone about the pregnancy till at least after that appointment. At which I will only be about 10 weeks if my calculations are correct that is.

I would prefer to wait for 12 weeks when the chance of a  miscarriage is greatly reduced. Hence I knew only telling the people closest to me was sensible. Even if my husband wanted to start spreading the news already.

I will be happy just keeping it between the people who know at the moment. The fact that it is our little secret. Of course, I know they all have people that they are eager to tell also. They now have at least another four weeks that they have to stay silent. Everyone says I am the one who finds it hard to keep my mouth shut.

Pregnancy is strange

At times I do feel pregnant and other times I just feel like me. I do feel a little queasy and light-headed but so far I am managing to avoid the full-on evil morning sickness. Long, may it stay that way, at least then there is less chance of anyone at work guessing, not that I think they pay much notice of me. Still, it would be nice to avoid that problem as long as I can, still, I am not looking forward to that conversation at all. Not sure how they will take the news at all.
