My Hearty Life

Welcome to my third link up with #myheartylife|9  With my chance to look back on the positives of the last week. This week has been different to say the least, with all the snow and school closures.

Grateful For…

For my health, yes I need to become fitter and lose weight.  But I was able to walk across town in the snowy weather and it not be a problem.  I work in town so my work was not closed and I had no transport excuse not to be there.  Annoying when I would have loved to be building snowman with Amelia.  Sascha was also off work as he has an hour journey to work and there was no way that he would be able to drive there. So with the schools closed, I am so lucky that my mum is able to look after Amelia. Plus that Amelia loves spending so much time with her nanny.

It was a huge achievement to get Amelia to walk to her nanny’s in a snow storm. The girl loves sports but walking anywhere is not top on her list.  I was pretty pleased with all the walking I had done in the snow, slush and ice, that I managed to stay upright the whole time.  My snow boots are one of the best purchases I have ever made, they don’t come out often but when they do they are flipping brilliant. Everyone should own a pair.

Found Beauty In…

Like most people this last week it was not hard to find beauty in the snow, even if it did bring the country to a standstill. Mum has always said everyone has a good garden when it snows. I hadn’t been for walk in the woods for months.  Mum and I took Mikey and it looked even more stunning than normal. We walked for nearly two hours, it is a walk I need to do a lot often. It really clears away the cobwebs.

That looks like a beautiful snow walk. We have a Mikey too but he saw no snow action (he’s a blind back cat!).

      It was.

Was he cuddled up inside in the warm, receiving lots of cuddles?
