Six months of no coffee or alcohol – The Beginning

No coffee or alcohol, here I am making a start on my pledge.

Why are you doing it to yourself?

How hard can it be?

Are a couple of questions I expect to be asked when people find out I am going this, much the same way as when I became a vegetarian  (of course the reasoning is slightly different).

Now I have been having trouble sleeping for a while now, beyond the fact I am a mother of a 6 year old and have a greyhound who sometimes has difficulty going through the night. Getting to sleep is not normally a problem but getting back to sleep after I wake is. Let’s see if giving up coffee and alcohol make any difference.

The bonus being that it will help with weight-loss and save money. For once I am hoping I will lose the right pounds.

I have given up alcohol before for five an a half months.  I managed it with my holiday, birthday and Valentine’s day during it.
